Midsummer Farm to Bowl
Enjoy exclusive access to the beautiful Wychwood Gardens Flower Farm before making a seasonal midsummer bowl arrangement using flowers grown on the farm. We’ll start with a tour of the flower beds with Chris and Rebecca from Wychwood, and a chat about seasonal British flowers, then move to their charming studio space to make informal and wild foam-free arrangements in bowls hand-thrown by a local potter. I’ll be demonstrating sustainable techniques and be on hand to offer help and encouragement – this is an informal, friendly workshop suitable for total beginners! There will be armfuls of gorgeous flowers from the cutting beds to choose from, homemade cake and hot/soft drinks.
Wychwood Gardens provide locally grown flowers, both fresh and dried, grown without the use of chemicals and with least disturbance to the soil encouraging pollinators and biodiversity.
Free onsite parking. Please note the ground is uneven and muddy at times so appropriate outdoor wear is required. Wychwood are working towards being fully accessible but at the moment cannot accommodate people who use wheelchairs. The toilet facilities are basic, but private, camping style.
£80 including bowl, all materials and refreshments.
